Firstly, regular exercise is important. A 30 minute walk 4 or 5 times a week could be a start. Walking, swimming and cycling are the type of exercise that would benefit your blood pressure. The human body is designed for mobility and flexibility. Therefore, you are not mobile if you always sit in front of the TV, smoking and drinking which can be a common habit for many. If your mobility was taken from you at any time it would be disastrous so why take it for granted?

Don’t confuse fat as being the culprit to being overweight. You actually do need fat to keep your weight at the proper level. There are healthy fats and peanuts and canola oil have them. Also don’t forget tuna, salmon and mackerel have omega-3 fats which are good for the heart among other things.

Schedule a power nap during the day. Lie down for ten minutes in which you clear your mind and catch a couple of winks. Don’t sleep longer than this or it might interfere with your night sleep.
