Why Blogs Are Crucial To Your Business

It’s true that I have a “regular” website, my so-called “main website,” which I first set up to sell my goods, in this case, men’s and women’s health products. It’s my workhorse, the source of most of my revenue. Most of my sales resulted from generic listings in the search engines, particularly Google.

With all of these great features, you are convinced and ready to check out the world of online dating. Here are some ways to compare the many sites, and choose the one that is right for you.

The first rule about blogging is to make friends. Despite the fact that some blogs are actually corporate, serious and professional in their approach, most blogs these days are friendly and personal. So, what do you have to do to bring people into your blog? Blog hopping. Yes, visit other people’s blogs and give them comments (genuine ones, please) and provide a link back to your blogs. The key is to MAKE FRIENDS.

On the other hand, I say this with a sheepish smile, since blogs are free, I set up another blog in Google for my family and friends where I simply post pictures of the family and news about them. This I have no need to be picked up by web search engines, and just pass out the URL to my kids and close friends. Which is another way to use comment on my post.

You can create resource lists that will help your readers find information on your niche. You can also create lists of different ways to accomplish a goal in a niche, like “5 Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Sales Letter.” The possibilities are endless.

Lots of advertisement options. Small niche online blogs don’t have that many advertising options. They have Google AdSense/yahoo’s version and that’s about it. Many of these smaller niches don’t care about advertising only. Internet marketing niches don’t have that problem. There are tons of affiliate and direct advertising methods. An internet marketing firm will know about Google AdWords, a small pet store might not.

As a matter of course when I set up my blog I put in a stat counter. These are available for free all over the web, and by injecting a line of code into your web page or blog you can get fairly sophisticated results as to how many visits you get and for how long the person visited. I never really looked at those stats due to the fact that business and other web development which I considered more important were taking up all my time.

Tons of people gain a great knowledge of how to make money online – but very few actually do it and put what they’ve learned into practice! So once you are comfortable just do it, doing it is the best way to learn and grow.
