Invented in 1963 In 1963, the Company was founded in 1963 by Dr. Alvin Roth. Dr. Roth had been a dentist for a while before he realized that his passion for developing dental plastic products led him to develop this unique, patent-pending, technology that is now utilized in the production of all the advanced Quadrant engineering plastic parts. The most notable of Roth’s innovations are: His discovery of a method to extend the length of the material that is used in our components; he was the first person to use an actual additive in nylon; he was the one responsible for the creation of the nylon powder composition and manufacturing process; and was the sole inventor of the sandwich made from nylon. Nylon Stock Shapes – Roth invented the nylon stock shape using the aid of nitrogen-filled injection molding technology, he found that his nylon stock designs were nearly impossible to break. At first, Roth designed these stock shapes as a way to save space.
