So how can you get inspired? Can you create inspiration or must you just wait? Let’s take a look at some sources of inspiration.
What does this have to do with Oldies stations? Recently I was listening to the local Oldies station and they played one of these late 1970s “Punk” bands, based on the terms used at the time. Even if you prefer to go with the current, more accurate description of New Wave, should it be played on an Oldies station? In fact, this station and others play a lot of music from the early 1980s.
Magazines. Take a trip to the drug store and grab a bunch of wedding and fashion magazines. Thumb through them and start imaging how you can fit some of these ideas into your ideal wedding venue, dress, bridesmaids dresses, and reception. Start a wedding inspiration book or binder. Cut out any images or pictures you find inspiring and glue them into your inspiration book. After you have several pages in your binder you will start to see a style or pattern. Do you love pinks or rock and roll ideas or vintage themes? You can use these themes to show your wedding planner what you like. You can also use this binder to help you chose your venue and flowers and even your dress!
If you do not would like to get outdoors to watch new scenery and you don’t want to go to the library then you can just surf the internet. The World Wide Web if jam-packed with inspiration for your airbrush art. Start looking at various images and keep surfing until you discover the one that gets your creative juices flowing again. Print the picture that help you so that you can keep it around as your muse for on condition that you demand it. It may take awhile but with the limitless supply of images and artwork on the web it is sure to keep you supplied with some inspiration.
But not everything is about the money. Just because you sold many MP3s online does not mean you have quality music. Good is not great. Good is mediocre at best. If you want people to spend the time to listen to your music, make it a spectacular experience that they would never ever forget.
The first thing that you need to make sure of, is that you have the rights to use the music at all. Garageband for the Mac comes with a library of royalty free music that you can use as you see fit. If you’re on a PC, or if you want to use some other kind of music, do a search for “royalty free music” and see if you can find something that you like.
Yes, definitely, music cures the ill. Maybe not in the medical way that doctors understood treatment, but somehow in a condition where music reminds the old, the sick and the dying that they cared and loved by their loved ones.
