There has been a lot of discussion about the extraction of carbon oil, especially in regards to the negative impact it has on the environment. If nothing is done to alter the environment to make CO2 levels in the soil and aquifers are increased the life cycles of animals and plants living in those areas are severely altered, sometimes wiping out entire species.
These kinds of powerful greenhouse gas emissions must be considered seriously, not just because of their potential environmental consequences however, they pose directly threatening the future of our civilization as well as the way of living on Earth. The majority of scientists agree that burning fossil fuels, such as oil, coal and natural gas needs to be regulated in order to preserve the planet for our descendants in the future.
